Train your kitten in the crazy kitty phase
The Feistiest Feline’s are not strictly nocturnal, but they are crepuscular, which means they are most active at dawn and dusk. This is because their ancestors, the African wildcat, were crepuscular animals. They would hunt at dawn and dusk when their prey was most active.
Today, cats still have a natural tendency to be active at these times. However, many cats will adapt to their owner's schedule and be active during the day as well. If you have a cat that is keeping you awake at night, there are a few things you can do to help them adjust to your schedule.
- Play with your cat before bed to tire them out.
- Make sure your cat has a comfortable place to sleep, such as a bed or crate.
- Keep your cat's environment dark and quiet at night.
- If your cat is still having trouble sleeping at night, talk to your veterinarian. They may be able to recommend some additional tips or medication to help your cat get a good night's sleep.
